The role

As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will focus on delivering high-quality work and be an effective communicator skilled at connecting with stakeholders across the business. The team:

You’ll be joining a small but very skilled team of around 15 people across Engineering, Data Science, and QA. We’re always learning and trying out new processes and tools. We keep things open and honest, with a feedback-friendly culture where new ideas really take off.

What leads to success:

• 5+ years of experience working as a full-stack web developer, you have mastered quite a few different technologies and stacks over the years, and you are not intimidated by code that was written by someone else.

• Expertise in relational databases enables you to handle complex SQL queries with ease.

• Strong level of expertise with TypeScript or Python and willingness to master both.

• Hands-on experience working with cloud-native applications.

• A growth mindset that prompts you to continuously look for opportunities to learn and improve things.

• Being quality-driven and committed to building robust, maintainable, and high-performance code.

• Being a holistic thinker with a clear focus on the bigger picture when it comes to the software itself and the customer needs.

Your tasks:

We believe in setting clear objectives. Here are our expectations for your first 6 months as a Senior Software Engineer:

After Week 1:

• You are on board with the technical solution and start contributing to the Cambri's application code base.

After 3 months:

• You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the company’s business domain and how it applies to the Cambri’s application.

After 6 months:

• You are effective at defining and communicating with your colleagues and business stakeholders on technical and business requirements. Together with your team you can effectively plan and implement an incremental update to the application functionality.
